I’ve read Ukraine has some areas with soil that is up to 15 feet.
What would be the benefits of particularly deep soil?
Simple curiosity
If you count alluvium as soil (tillable, can support plant growth) it may be found in some of the valleys of old, slow rivers.
Not to derail this thread, but it always amazes me when I see rock sticking out of the ground. It's pretty rare here in my little corner of Belgium but, come on, it's the fucking earth sticking out.
