They’re messing with forces that are best left alone

[–] 4 pts

Like everything else, it probably benefits kikes.

They're rituals in front of the place is all you need to know.

They will tell you it is satire but that's a lot of work for satire.

think it's amazing

if humanity hadn't collectively wasted trillions in both resources and time on feeding niggers and fighting in sand nigger wars, then we'd have already discovered all the particles, have fusion power stations everywhere, and be flying to Mars in our new UFO warp craft piloted by Quantum AI waifus

we'd also be halfway to developing a laser printer that didn't jam

Worried it’s a portal to/from another dimension. But probably not, right?

A complete waste of money. It doesn't benefit us in any way and the money is best spent elsewhere.

I would still rather waste money on the LHC than waste it on niggers who not only do not benefit us but actually destroy everything they are given.

For sure, though in many ways basic science has become yet another form of wealth redistribution to minorities as they are preferentially hired in STEM. I was thinking more in terms of what's a good way to spend the existing science budget. Is CERN a good use for it or should more go towards other areas? The return on investment of the so called basic research is so slim that it should have been cut long ago. They need to build machines that cost tens of billions of dollars to, what, add a few more significant digits to the estimate of some particle masses? And I have a gnawing suspicion that the gravitational wave detection (LIGO and VIRGO) is outright fraud.

I mean, it's very likely you're correct about the wealth redistribution aspect in many cases. But there is so much to learn about the universe and never taking risks will amount to nothing. It's not my place to impose risk on other people, and the collective nature of human society forces us to do this with the allocation of public funds, but I strongly support the LHC project in particular. I can't speak for every basic research grant because I have personally seen the system exploited, but I can't advocate ending all basic research because of those cases.

CERN staff are mostly White, with a few Indians/Asians and maybe an outlier nigger

go do an image search on it

Why are niggers the default comparison? Just about everything else on earth is a better investment than niggers. From breeding cockroaches to gain of function research. But even within physics the billions spent on LHC could have funded hundreds of smaller projects that would solve unanswered questions or lead to new ones. Could have furthered nuclear fusion or gotten us closer to a cost effective thorium cycle in fission and end dependence on fossil fuels.

Your comment makes me think of all the negros that used to protest NASA because they wanted the money instead.

It's funny that NASA was finally defunded by the first negro president too.

How does furthering our understanding of the fundamental forces of the universe not benefit humanity?

How does getting a few more decimal places on the mass of a k-meson or whatever benefit us? It's a complete waste of money as far as return on investment goes. Particle accelerators are expensive.

But if you don't try you will never know. Negative reults are still results. Plus there could be phenomenon that we're not even aware of that become apparent.

The same way that learning about minor measurements of neutrons was a requirement for the Manhattan project.

Same as the cross section for neutron capture of plutonium needed to be measured.

People study all sorts of likely useless garbage, and some of it turns out to be not so useless later.

[–] 1 pt

I completely disagree. The CERN project is the current apex of new research. In my opinion, this is exactly what money should be invested in. I can see why people doubt it, because there probably will be very minimal results. But I believe this is the frontline towards our understanding of the universe. Even the negative results are important.

[–] 1 pt

They need to produce more results

[–] 1 pt

?

[–] 2 pts

For all the time and money involved we should be seeing more important studies come out of it

[–] 1 pt

It just started, and it aint the one in Tx they wanted.

What's yours?

[–] 1 pt

Im not sure yet to be honest.

[–] 1 pt

Why are we even told about it. Has it publicly produced jack shit in findings etc?

[–] 1 pt

Its more kinda what may happen.

So it’s like a two weeks psyop?
