It's rumored that what (if anything) was buried is supposed to be "keys", which when 'Doomsday' appeared inevitable, were to be unearthed and then taken to the Atlanta Rosicrucian Society. The significance of the keys, and what they were to unlock, and why they should be taken to the ARL is unknown.
