I went to check a tiny lump under my tongue and Dr took scans of it and told me that it's very likely and advanced stage of mouth cancer and that I should urgently stop all my affairs, go to a hospital and prepare to deal with cancer immediately.
I was feeling fine, so I just decided that he is a fucking idiot and ignored his advice and went on with my business. This was 6 years ago, the lump disappeared about 1 year after that visit.
They told me something similar, i had fibrosis and my time on this earth was limited. That was over 30 years ago now, and i can still function just fine. My only small issue is that i have a lower physical stamina than a marathon runner, but still way higher than a common normal person due to the expansion of the lung system that occured ... so not really sure how that's a bad thing
A lot of cancers will heal in their own if you have a decent immune system. The poisons they give you to 'treat' them are killing people a lot more frequently than the cancers themselves. I remember reading somehwere that chemo doesn't raise your chance of survival statistically. It is amazing that people blindly trust the dude in the white coat.
It most likely was a tumor that your body fought off.
Could be, but if something similar happened today I can't really see myself trusting the doctors not to intentionally kill me if I went for a treatment.
