I say we do that in mass. Only instead of on the side of the road, we park them in DC.

Could you imagine?

Gas gets so expensive, having a personal vehicle is something only the rich can afford.

A last freedom convoy, 100 million used cars on one last drive to DC. Stack them like cord wood in every square inch of space. The whole city and areas for miles around.

This could work!

They would clear it in a couple days.

It would be a minor distraction, get lots of press saying white supremacists are trying to destroy the government and throw and insurrection.

The fallout would be immense. everyone with a registered vehicle in it would end up with police charges. based on who owns it, or it was last registered to. Everyone charged with anything there, if not wealthy enough to buy it off, would be another political prisoner.

Well I think it'd depend on whether "they can't arrest us all" holds weight.

I feel bad for anyone too poor to maintain their vehicle or can't call a tow truck. Life's hard for a lot of people.

Uh...most of them are niggers. I'm GLAD when even one nigger gets off the road.

I didn't think they drove on interstate highways.

Either they are walking for gas or too poor, cheap, or stupid to call a tow truck.

Many of the vehicles I see abandoned appear to have been poorly maintained. It's likely that the person couldn't afford to maintain it, and can't afford to fix it.

I've often thought that getting a tow truck and sticking a magnetic sign on it would be a good idea. Change the sign every week, free cars for recycling or for the chopshop if useful.

I’ve thought of doing that. But instead of stealing the car from the owner, move it to a safe place, contact them, and offer a reasonable recovery, storage, and possibly repair fee.

Police impound and no-consent tow companies are mostly scams. Unless there is actual crime, there’s no reason to profit so much off someone being broke.

Too hard to do in reality. But maybe someone could make a movie of some vigilante that goes out and does normal shit anyone can do, but briniest don’t because they’d get arrested. No super human strength or speed or anything. Maybe a super power of Get out of jail free card

Many of the vehicles I see abandoned here probably aren't going to be repairable without some serious scratch, if you'd want to repair them at all. A lot of them would be taken off the road in other states, but Ohio has a "If you can drive it, you can drive it" mentality.

haha why change the sign? fake company?

[–] 1 pt

About once a week put a new sign on the truck. Just a bit of fnord there to keep people guessing.

They don't have an autoclub membership.

Because they just want to go home. DFENS forever.

The one time I did it, it was a $500 truck that dropped the oil drain (or a freeze plug, didn't bother to investigate) and dropped all the oil while at 65mph... the engine seized. It wasn't worth the tow or repair and I didn't have the money anyway.

The worst part was that I was ~30 miles from home on the way to a job interview. Didn't make the interview, but managed to call and reschedule. That was the job that really got me on the right path after being homeless just a couple years prior.

Hot damn, well good riddance to that truck!

Most of them get an uncontrollable urge for crack cocainne and pull off to the side for a fix only to stammer off in search of a place to sell their blood for hostes cakes and $3.50 8oz Quick.

I did that once, not because I wanted too; because i had too. I had no choice. I bought the car for like 400 bucks and drive it for like 4 months or something, fucking engine blew 90 miles from my house while i was on the highway. The tow trucks wanted a 120 hook fee and 2.25 a mile to get it back to my place. The nearest shop was still 45 miles away. either way I was going to pay way more than the car was worth to fix let a lone tow. SO fuck it, i got all my shit out of there and left it, with the keys in it and a note on the windshield.

[–] 1 pt

interesting, do you know who ended up picking it up?

[–] 2 pts

Yep. A tow company did, then they sent me a bill for like 2k, and I called them and told them to fuck off they can sell the car to themselves and scrap it for 400 bucks.

Never heard from them again.
