For example: new a Japanese 'salaryman' who worked for Toyota. Knew him from business when I had to travel. He viewed the corporate Americans as very similar to him - hard working, trying to make a shitload of money for their corporate overlords, etc. He really viewed me as the same as him.
Knew a Japanese lady. She worked in the restaurant industry. Her view of Americans was: they are kind but narrow-minded when it comes to the rest of the world (because we think "Only America").
