I was really good at it. One of the things they had us do was program our dreams. You would tell yourself you wanted to remember your dreams before bed. Then, you would have a pen and paper next to you before you slept so you could record your dreams. Long story, but I had something very odd happen to me when recording a dream. BTW, three of the instructors won the lottery programming their dreams.
They also had us intuitively diagnose people's health problems we didn't know. Then, they had us try to cure them with our minds. I was very good at diagnosing people.
I was in my 20s back then. I was naive. One of the male instructors wanted to come to my home and do NLP on me. NLP is neurolinguistic programming. I invited him to my home. Afterwards, i had some very odd experiences at my home when the course ended. These experiences didnt seem quite paranormal, but instead they seemed more technology based.
There's more though...
Yes? More?
OK. Well, like I mentioned, part of the course involved recording our dreams. It was about making your dream world real enough so it would materialize in waking state. There was meditation in the course too. We would imagine connecting with spiritual guides to gather information. Or we'd meditate to manifest something. Like I said above, I did well in this course. I'm very intuitive. Maybe, it's because I do have a sleep disorder. I've had my brainwaves measured in waking state. And for the most part, they remain in Alpha. Alpha is a more meditative state than Delta. Delta is the conscious state. Consequently, when I meditated, I went into a deeper meditative state. So, maybe that is why I was so good at this course.
OK. Three events happened back to back immediately after the 2 week course ended. Remember, one of the instructors came to my home and did NLP on me too.
The 1st event, it happened the first week after the course ended. ( by the way, I was very athletic and healthy in my 20s then. I didn't drink. I didn't do drugs. I didn't smoke. I didn't drink caffeine. I ate very healthy too ) Anyway, I was living in Florida. I had just moved back there from San Francisco. My furniture was still in transit. It was 10 PM. It was a clear night. I was reading a book on meditation. I wasn't tired. All the sudden, I heard something that sounded like a loud shrieking, buzzing organ. I could hear both low and high keys. Immediately, I looked toward the window to my right. I thought the sound was coming from my window. I was half sitting up and half laying down against my bedroom wall. I was sleeping on my floor because my furniture from California hadn't arrived yet. I remember thinking, who are you? For some reason. I put my hand arm strait out and started waving . At that point, I felt almost paralyzed. I couldn't move anything but my hand. Then, I saw what looked like a nebulous face forming above me in front of me. As it's face became clearer. It's eyes looked almost inhuman. They were beady black small eyes. The nebulous coloring of the face began to turn red. The face almost reminded me of a cartoon image of a Tasmanian devil from the 70s. I wasn't scared however. Then something that sounded like a male voice inside my chest said, I trust you. I said to myself quietly, I didn't say that. Plus, it was a male voice. I'm female. And, I also said to myself, I don't trust you. I for some reason started saying these words like a mantra I couldn't stop saying them. I said repeatedly , you look angry. What's wrong? I got the feeling this mantra was protecting me from this entity. It was like it couldn't penetrate my body because I didn't trust it and the mantra kept any other thoughts coming my way from getting inside me. ( I then heard another voice that's seemed good and spiritual unlike the first one.. It was quiet. It came through my thoughts. It said, just say Bless you. It can't hurt you. Just say Bless you. It can't hurt you. I kept repeating that in my mind for about a minute. Then the entity began to vanish. The noise that came with it was more silent until it was gone.
The first sound of the organ, the male voice and image seemed almost technology based. However, the second voice that came through my mind seemed spiritual in nature.
I'll tell you the other two incidents later. I do think this incident had something to do with the mind development course.
That is fascinating. I am very much into my dreams and trying to learn how to control them. In my 20's I was actually quite good at it because I had such terrible nightmares that I taught myself how to really control what I was doing in my dreams and then I quit having the bad dreams. Unfortunately I was not smart enough to keep up the practice and now I am having a terribly difficult time trying to replicate my prior success. I have read that you only dream for a short period of time right before you wake up but I find in my case that this is not true. I pretty much start dreaming very soon after falling asleep and dream most of the night through. My dreams are very vivid and realistic, even the most fantastical dreams seem so real, it seems like I am living another life in another dimension or something and that they are not dreams at all, but just another reality that I am experiencing.
The spiritual side of your dreams is interesting as well. Are you a religious person? I wonder if you are if that may not be your subconscious belief system kicking in to aid you through a stressful situation.
Anyway, I was living in Florida. I had just moved back there from San Francisco. My furniture was still in transit.
How'd you move and how was your experience?
I will give you more info later tonight or tomorrow. Although, I'm not sleepy. I am a bit tired. It takes a lot of energy for me to explain more. Tell you more in a few hours. ;)
I see how you are. You can tag me to make it up to me so I don't miss it.
Do tell
I'll tell you more soon. Want to try to rest a bit. I was up at 2 AM. But , I barely slept. Takes a lot of energy to tell my story in detail.
