I rarely sleep much these days. I'm up early in the morning. However, I'm also up at night. I don't sleep well.

So, who are the day people? And, who are the night people?

No, I'm not a stalker. Just curious. Sleepless in California.

My sleep used to be haphazard until about five years ago when I started lifting weights and I realize that very large percentage of my gains would be ruined by a lack of sleep.

It’s funny, once you’re motivated enough and have enough reason to do it, you find a way to get some fucking sleep when you need it. I used to think the people who took naps in the middle of the day were lazy.

Not anymore. I realize how restorative sleep is and I try to get it whenever I can. I’ve got a bunch of kids so it’s hard sometimes, but I’ll sneak one in when I can and definitely try to get plenty of sleep at night. If I get a shitty nights sleep you better goddamn will believe I’m napping the next day especially if I worked out that day. The more I nap, the more I sneak sleep, the more I sleep well at night, the more energy I have, the more life there is to my life. Sleep is so important.

Good point about making yourself sleep when you need it. I used to work out a lot and always took cat naps. I do take short naps throughout the day still when I can.
