That is fascinating. I am very much into my dreams and trying to learn how to control them. In my 20's I was actually quite good at it because I had such terrible nightmares that I taught myself how to really control what I was doing in my dreams and then I quit having the bad dreams. Unfortunately I was not smart enough to keep up the practice and now I am having a terribly difficult time trying to replicate my prior success. I have read that you only dream for a short period of time right before you wake up but I find in my case that this is not true. I pretty much start dreaming very soon after falling asleep and dream most of the night through. My dreams are very vivid and realistic, even the most fantastical dreams seem so real, it seems like I am living another life in another dimension or something and that they are not dreams at all, but just another reality that I am experiencing.
The spiritual side of your dreams is interesting as well. Are you a religious person? I wonder if you are if that may not be your subconscious belief system kicking in to aid you through a stressful situation.
I am somewhat religious. I have had unusual paranormal incidents as well that were very good.
However, I was wide awake when this event happened. It was 10pm. I wasn't even tired. I was reading with my back against my bedroom wall when this occurred. I mentioned that technology may have been involved because i heard a voice im my chest area when it happened. It seemed artificial. It was a real voice, however. As real as if someone was standing beside me speaking. Though, naturally we hear with our ears, I heard it in my chest area. It vibrated there too. Further. It wasn't a thought. The voice was masculine. I'm a girl. I'm thinking voice of God technology. There are patents for things like that.
Why me? I signed up for a mind development course that I was very good at. The instructor actually invited himself to my home. When there, he wanted to do NLP on me. I was young and naive. I let him in and let him do NLP there. Immediately after the class ended, I experienced at least three very odd incidents that occurred back to back in a three week period. After these events, it was even more difficult for me to sleep. However, I've always struggled with sleep. Yet, this new sleep deprivation I struggled with was caused by fear. I didn't even want to close my eyes to meditate after this course.
I'll tag you for the next incident when I have a chance to share it if you're interested.
I am interested, I think this is fascinating. Being older and (hopefully) wiser now, would you take this course again given the opportunity? I am guessing that you would not but maybe you would have more control now?
I might take it again because what I learned via dream control and manifestation actually worked. I wouldn't invite any instructor to my home, however. It was a different time. I didn't continue to practice the techniques I learned because of the fear I felt. Plus, I was young and traveling the world soon after. I did use the technique once to manifest. That's the third incident I haven't shared yet. Further, I may have already mentioned this, but three of the instructors won the lottery using the dream control method taught in this course.
