responded noting it is not a bug, but due to even a millisecond of connection interruption:

WebSocket network error: The operation couldn’t be completed. Connection reset by peer

Happens way more often on ToR (where the exits are switching all the time) or sluggish VPN/Proxies.

In my case, I have shit, slow-as-fuck and unreliable internet, so it happens for me on rare occasions. As noted, I just refresh the page and then upvote the post again and watch to make sure the count increased properly, or open the post I want to upvote in a new tab via its Link icon and then upvote it on that page so I don't lose my spot on the main thread.

Hmm. Let's test it if you would like. I've just blocked you temporarily and will remove it in 2-3min. Try to upvote this comment to see if it 'sticks' and the count increases (then remove it).
