It's not for me it's for my dad potentially. He's got really bad hands and I just figured it might be a good way to kill the pain. He needs a thumb knuckle replacement. And I figured if he could do some kratom maybe that would make it not hurt as much. I don't want to see him strung out hovering around 80 years old, I feel pretty terrible about that.
What’s wrong with his hands? Arthritis? Maybe some omega 3s could help with inflammation. Or smoke some pot using either edibles or vaporizing it. Kratom can also cause constipation, which may be bad for an older fella.
He was a pilot for his latter half of his career. So he's got bad carpal tunnel and his joints lock up which causes hands to make a claw shape. He wouldn't be interested in pot. But someone on here mentioned CBD so maybe that's an avenue.
you might investigate for arthritis~
I take it once a week just for the pleasure of feeling complete relaxation. If it’s pain relief and relaxation you are after I think the Maeng Da red strain is the one you should go with. I’ve never tried the others but some promise increased energy and less pain management. I just buy the powder and mix it with orange juice. I definitely don’t care to take it more than twice a week simply because tolerance builds quickly and the flavor, even with orange juice is god awful. Seriously the worst thing I have ever tasted so you might want to give it to your dad in pill form, which is more expensive, but you could probably just buy capsules and the little filling tool and make your own. This stuff and be quite potent and I certainly wouldn’t want to be any higher. Due to the tolerance increase I would recommend using this for your dad only two or three times a week while finding something else that is not drug related to get him through the off days.
