Someone told me yesterday that he takes kratom for his chronic hip pain and he says it really works. My question is this would it be safe for my ole grumpy father to take it who's on a bunch of different medications. He's got bad arthritis in his hands. He likes to drink but would this get him high which he would not like? I've seen a gas station or two with a kratom sign on the door but is there a more legit place to purchase it?

Its an opiate. Not as strong as illegal ones. My wife has used to for back pain for years. Taste like shit though. Gives you energy and a buzz.

The gas station stuff is crap a lot. We get our from a herb store in town. Find it in powder, the capsules are a rip off.

Would the energy and buzz make him incapacitated to drive and make rational decisions? I don't want him to get high because he is the caretaker of my mom who's sick and he's also the only person to do the financial stuff and I don't want him to fuck up because he's like "oh whatever". You could increase or decrease your dosage I would imagine for the same type of effect? So the more you take the more you buzz out, the less you take the same scenario?

I can drive on it, its not like pain pills. More like a relaxing head change. Also it depends on dose. I would start small. The energy is like a good cup of coffee. So imagine a little pep with a bit of warm fuzziness.

Also different strains give different energy and buzz. So it helps to experiment with types of Kratom as well.

My wife got her father to use it, and it has HELPED him a lot.

Also not even close to as strong as pills. So no you wont be dope fiend leaning or anything.

My wife isnt up yet. Give me a bit and I can get more info for you. Like which strain is the best etc,

It’s not an opiate or opioid. It affects one opiate receptor.
