Someone told me yesterday that he takes kratom for his chronic hip pain and he says it really works. My question is this would it be safe for my ole grumpy father to take it who's on a bunch of different medications. He's got bad arthritis in his hands. He likes to drink but would this get him high which he would not like? I've seen a gas station or two with a kratom sign on the door but is there a more legit place to purchase it?

Also it's used to help with opioid withdrawal.

There's different strains, and most are associated with some color, I forget what is what.

I think it's used in Thailand as a garnish, or cooked in with the food.

In USA some have been trying to make it illegal, probably big pharm and some lobiests trying to push people into addictive opioids that they make.
