Yes. I believe this is accurate. They are “mediators” of world views and carefully cultivated narratives. That is the job of the media. And they are doing their job correctly. Mediators = media They are even honest about what they are! We are the fools when we internalize ridiculous ideas like the idea that the job of the media is to objectively inform anyone. To objectively inform has never been a responsibility of the media. The job of the media has always been some form of misdirection and meditating of carefully constructed narratives.
