25 years ago, I obtained a device that I desired. But then it was "lost" by a co-worker I'd loaned it to. But the blessing in disguise was that I'd purchased the accessories for that device back in the mid-Nineties, while they were still available over the counter from the manufacturer's storefronts, and I still have all the required accessories for it, and I recently found one of the devices sitting on a curbside without any of its required accessories.
So I now have the device, plus all of the required accessories for the device, even though the accessories would be hard to find collectibles on Ebay now at premium starting prices. Because I obtained and lost the main device a quarter of a century ago.
