Left side cargo pocket: Notebook holder with waterproof paper notebook, pencil/pen, band aids, fish hooks and line, sudafed. Left side external pocket on cargo pocket: Reading glasses Left pants pocket: Keys, small folding pocket knife, guitar picks, allergy drops for eyes Cell phone pocket, if equipped: Cell phone, otherwise, cell is in left rear pocket Right rear pocket: Wallet and folder knife Right front pocket: Money, rock sling, lighter, flint, small wooden container of sea salt (I hate bland food, and table salt), second folder knife, small altoids tin of char cloth Right side cargo pocket: Paracord in various lengths including loops for prusiks, elk bone guitar slide, knife sharpener Right side external pockets on cargo pocket: Small flashlight, third folder knife.

Yeah, I know, I have issues.

Edit: I forgot about the vice grip Leatherman on my belt, and the mischmetal fire starter and tweezers also in with the leatherman.

These are good ideas man. Might I Aldo recommend just carrying sand in one pocket. It has multiple uses. For one you can carry it in a zip lock bag so already it has a double use. As for the sand itself you can use it as a blinding powder, you can sprinkle it in the air to detect laser security systems, you can eat it to help absorb poison, you can use it to immobilize gas and diesel powered engines, you can get it wet and throw it at someone to stun them, etc. Sand is a lit more versatile than you expect.
