Hope it helps. There is lots of homeschool communities that can give insight on it, you just have to find those groups… the short answer is it gives you the legal right to simply do what you want to do for an education for your children.
I like that. I had my kid in a private online school but I didn't need the teachers to grade because I know the material.
I'm now on another online site that provides the curriculum and reports but it's just a so so site. I am the only teacher though.
