I recently realized that all I listen to is stuff that's on Christian radio. Not that there's a problem with that per se, but I used to listen to all kinds of stuff. These days, I just don't much bother with music because everything popular is almost always about glorifying being a horrible person.

Anyone have suggestions for music that has positive/inspirational lyrics that isn't specifically Christian?

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions. Here's a good one, if you haven't heard it. There's a ska version as well, under Streetlight Manifesto

Billy Joe Shaver - I’ve been to Georgia on a fast train Real country tune

Tony Joe White - They Caught the Devil and Put Him in Jail in Eudora, Arkansas Also country/ “swamp rock,” real ripping horns

Rodney Crowell - let’s make trouble Old “new” country, uncannily yearning in nature

Lowell George - honest man Classic tune I think? More southern rock

Swamp Dogg (original d-o-double G) - choking to death (on the ties that bind). I describe this song as the kinda tune The Rolling Stones wish they play Also his cover of Aint that a shame is awesome

Tom waits - step right up Great sardonic alt-jazz tune
