Backyard welding is all you need to know practically speaking. Welding as a job is shit. Especially the chemicals, gases and other hazards that FUCK you up if you're exposed to throughout a career.
Did you miss the aluminum part? And I kinda meant for my own use but I have been exposed to all kinds of shit from asbestos to round up.
Tig is very learnable, and you can always mig aluminum.
Its all learnable man, but to be good takes talent. And years of practice. I dont know if you have ever known really good welders but I have.
