The sad part for the locals is many of these people fleeing don't know shit about politics, all they know is things are dangerous and they flee like rats from a sinking ship but they're still rats at the end of the day.

Yeah I just mean people who don't know shit could voluntarily, you know, fucking skip it. I try to read about every position that is going to be on our ballots, but in case I miss one, or I find that I don't care, I leave those blank. And what's weird is poll workers will be like "you didn't complete your vote", and I'll be like "yeah, I don't care who the dogcatcher is" or "that guy is running unopposed and I think he's an asshole, and don't know anyone to write in, so I refuse to vote on that particular item".
