an enthusiastic recommendation from jewpedia: "The community has a history of racism: there were two race riots in the early 20th century and an influx of white supremacist organizations during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Because of this, a number of sources have called it the most racist town in North America"

The kkk is there in the general population, though the official headquarters is 20 miles east in Zinc.

I lived there for a few years about 10 years back. Strangers strike up casual conversations in the grocery stores, then invite you to church.

After a while I began to recognize the beauty of Mennonite women.

South of town a couple of miles is Valley Springs High School. They don't have a football team, but the basketball teams are amazing. It was fun to watch white boys and girls mop the floor when they played a black team.

Dunno. My family hails from Berryville. All of the men fought in the Confederate army. Solidly white, Christian family through the generations until my hippy parents. I'm bringing it back, though.
