i am probably one of the older people here, so thankfully, I can say that none of my teachers were suspected homosexuals. in fact, I can only think of one student who might have been a butt pirate, and honestly, he was never outright about it. in those days it was something to be ashamed about.

Same here. My teachers were silent generation and boomers. There was a girly boy in middle school who was almost certainly gay, and in highschool there was an open gay. Some of the stocky girls ended up as lesbians. The new thing was a "gay-straight" alliance club with a dozen or two kids, but a solid majority of them were straight.

Definitely had one. We all joked he was gay from the way he talked but He had a wife and a child with her. I found out two years after graduating he came out and went got a husband.

9th grade English teacher was a full blown faggot, but to his credit it didn't enter the classroom. He got quietly terminated when an unrelated young boy was in his vehicle during a traffic accident.

I looked him up a few years ago, he's got a child sex offender record now.

I had teachers, including an English teacher, that I thought were suspiciously confirmed bachelors. Their relationships such as they may have been didn't come up in school, and I'm not aware that any of them were child molesters. It wasn't such a small town that we would've known, anyways. They could have been out outside of school; I don't think anyone would have talked about it.

4th grade full blown homo. Wore caped coats and liked hitting us with meter sticks. Fag bastard. Middle school lesbo gym teachers and in highschool. Oh yes, my English teacher was a fag. "Xavier". WTF names their kid xavier and doesn't expect him to be a homo.

Late 60s, I'm sure virtually all the female Gym teachers were. Seems like most of them also taught Social Studies. I just thought that they were just kind of strange. Looking back now though...

Definitely. Math, grade 6. Science, grade 9. The first had an acceptable stint at the middle school in question, but he left at the end of the year. The second was old, mean and sarcastic, but he had to be to last as long as he did.

Didn't much care, myself, but kids can sniff that sort of thing out better than anyone.

Absolutely. 6th grade gym teacher (female), 10th grade math teacher (female), 12th grade english teacher (male). I'm talking late 70s, early 80s. It simply wasn't that big of a deal.

Band teacher from junior high died of AIDS several years after I graduated high school.

He came out shortly before leaving the school over the illness. Most of us had no idea.

1967-68. Two female high school PE teachers. At the time, I didn't give it much thought, but was pretty well established, as they were roomies. We all could've been wrong. No one bothered them about it.
