This is a cliché. There are a ton of things I could have done and didn't do, and I'm glad I had the good sense not to do them. I don't want to do any of them. They were stupid and wrong. Thank God I was able to figure that out and avoid doing them.

Rarely. What is done is done....or as Granny used to say "You can't uncook the rice" and "You can't unring the bell"! Regrets and remorse are a waste of time. It is allowing the past to rob the present. It's okay to learn from past mistakes, and endeavor never to repeat them. It ain't okay to dwell and brood on them!

Yeah I've learned much more by my failures than my (few) successes but then the successes were pretty significant.

I always did my best. At times I tried and failed. At times I got scared and backed off. Other times I just didn't have the right information to do the right thing. But I always did my best in any given situation to be a decent human being and to honor the truth. I still do.

Do I wish I'd never made any mistakes? Sure. But God knows my mind and heart, and when I am dead, if there's an afterlife, I'm willing to stand on what I am, without hypocrisy, without weaseling or prevarication, without accusing others for my failings. If that's not good enough for whatever judges me after I'm dead, fine, so be it.
