Been living with my gf for 8 years until a couple months ago when she up and left, taking only her clothes and massive collection of "thundercats" toys and collectibles. Which is fine, because I'm not really interested in continuing a relationship with her, but the problem is that she left all the rest of her stuff. I told her I didn't want any of her stuff, and I invited her back a few times since, but she only took a couple things here and there each time. Now she blocked my phone and I can't contact her anymore, but I still have all these really personal things like keepsakes from her grandparents, irreplaceable photos of old friends and family, mementos of childhood, trip souvenirs, diaries, the list goes on... I don't want this stuff in my house, but I also think if I threw it all away, it would be the shittiest thing I've ever done. But she seems to be giving me no choice.

This is the correct response. But make damned certain you are dropping it off at her parents, and not using the "opportunity" to talk to them in any way, including to get closure. Do the deed; one trip, consider your moral obligation met, and move along home (with a clear conscience and a firm resolve). You get to have a new section of your life to go live.
