If you "hate God" you could be a Gnostic. The god of the Old Testament is not the Creator of All, but a lesser being sometimes referred to as the demiurge. Some Gnostics called him Yaldabaoth. He is a jealous "god" who sometimes does irrational things out of spite or anger. This lesser god made a blood pact with the Hebrews -- in return for them doing his bidding, he would favor them. It's more or less the same as the pacts that medieval witches were said to make with Satan. The Creator of All, the Lord of Light, sent down his Son into the body of Jesus to teach mankind that we are divine beings who have our true habitation among the higher realms. We don't belong here. The Light God wants us to ascend to our true estate among the stars.
