So far, I've used "PAEDO" even though it's a British spelling. (Needs to be 5 letters long, and in the NYT acceptable word list. I prefer to avoid duplicate letters.)

Not enough letters, but I considered using the original and less politically correct acronym for that disease, GRIDS.
