Side note: As a civilian contractor I went on 2 deployments with the US Air Force to Saudi Arabia in 2001 and 2002. We flew on a USAF transport to a base in the middle of no where, but still had to go thru Saudi customs when we got there. They confiscated Sports Illustrated magazines as pornography, because it showed men with bare arms and legs (basketball players) .

[deployed location] had best in class night vision/IR and we can view for miles around the base perimeter. the goat herders did not know this fact. as it was common to see them in their fields busting nuts into their livestock.
