I mean, if guns were the bad guy, more guns should mean more bad, right?.

Minus the army base shootups that have happened, they don't happen for the same reason school shootings wouldn't happen if it was known that every adult in the building ws armed and trained.

The army ones provably happened because the bases weren't using their own soldiers to carry around guns and protect the base by doing patrols.

That and military never tells anything to anybody

Well soldiers are supposed to keep their fire arms in the base firearms storage facility so the barracks are essentially gun-free zones, some bases are laxed on this though.

The muslim who did a mass shooting at

Major Nidal Malik Hasan, 39, a US-born Muslim and army psychiatrist, opened fire at the Fort Hood base on Thursday, killing 13 and wounding 30 people.

armed security is always a roadblock. only the truly insane spend their one life in taking 21. it's not a "gun problem" it's a sanity problem. Many insane people believe they are larger than life. that they are immortal. I'm guessing here ; I have never had the desire to take anyone's life. sane people know that it's not going to hurt the people they kill, they are dead and feel nothing, it's the people they leave behind that suffer for the rest of their lives.

or army camps

2009 Fort Hood mass shooting which allegedly left thirteen people dead and 33 others injured.

2014 Fort Hood mass shooting which allegedly left four people dead and 14 others injured.

In both of these cases, the bigger question is why did so many people get shot and/or killed on an Army base where guns and other weapons abound? Sure not everyone is walking around armed to the teeth, but you would think there were definitely armed personnel around who could have neutralized the situation before so many were shot. It's just another case of the authorities not being able to protect people no matter how well they are armed, trained and drilled. Being personally armed is the best defense against this type of threat but (((TPTB))) want us disarmed and to rely on police and soldiers to protect us. Fort Hood, Parkland and Uvalde are proof that the authorities and law enforcement are unwilling and unable to protect anyone, including themselves.

They dont carry their weapons around on post, thats the MP's job. Those shootings at Ft. Hood couldve been so much worse.

Plus that recruiting station was shot up a few years ago

Military bases are surprisingly big. They usually have many civilian contractors, traffic, and many uniformed people who are not really intended to fight. Cooks, mechanics, and barbers are some examples. Additionally families are frequently mixed in. As are stores and facilities to accommodate them.

Sadly, unless a base (not all bases) is on alert, in many cases even military police at gates are armed but not issued ammo. There's a general policy in the military to keep as many people disarmed as possible. So as strange as it sounds (I agree with you), most military bases make for good targets of opportunity. Which is why large shootings have taken place at military bases. Including a Muslim terrorist attack under Obama.

There has been shootings at shooting ranges, just a couple years ago.

Notice it's always that the shooters bought/stole the guns right before the shooting? They're not "gun people." They plan the shooting before they even own guns.

Military bases are relatively safe because the military kicks out drug addicts, felons, domestic abusers, etc

Because the dumbasses wanting to grab our guns will not push that rhetoric if their enemies are getting attacked.
