I don't know I kind of wanted to buy new for my first rifle/shotgun. Just so I can learn how to care for it from a new state you know what I mean.

Yeah man take your time, do your research, etc. Also look at it as a physical asset that maintains a certain level of value or maybe increase over time. Basically don't go w/ companies that have bad reps people won't want to buy used. Hi-Point is always the first that comes to mind. Many of their guns may not actually be that bad but their reputation is dogshit.
