I’m planning to go deer hunting this year and I’m setting aside some cash to buy a rifle or shotgun, I’ve heard suggestions to get both, so I’m asking poal, what kind of gun would be best for deer hunting for someone that has very little experience with guns?

LOL - and you will. That's what makes this a hard question to answer. Everyone familiar with guns has their own personal ideas on the matter.

Well that just makes this all the more complicated! I was hoping for a "this is exactly what you want" type answer. I suppose its just not going to be that easy.

Your gun shop did sound like it was steering you well. But in the end, only your own experience will answer this.
