1) They don't censor except for violence and porn/pedophilia. 2) Built their own tech stack and hosting so it can't be shut down as easily 3) Haven't taken VC money (which is how the banking dynasties control private companies) 4) The CEO is legitimately based and has hardcore Christian convictions so he's unlikely to sell out (at least I think)

On the downside, the place is spammed to hell with partisan political bullshit and room temperature IQ stuff. It's a nonstop spam feed of Tucker Carlson videos and catturd.

They need better controls so users can filter out controlled opposition and littering.

The points up top dont really matter. If i wanted to see rehashed memes and content from facebook, Gab looks identical to the other tier services, with some minor conservative lean. However, all the content is is crappy memes and random pictures or reactionary headlines. The stack doesn't much mater if the content is crap

It's useful if you have specific people you want to follow/watch their videos that are censored on twitter. That's about it. The conversational stuff is horrible because there are too many mainstream "conservative" retards and bots.

Gab is more like FB. Gab has both e-celebs and regular people. Probably the most where largest amount of people meet free-ish and edgy intersect. Their checkmarks are donors. I support Gab bec they are better than Twitter and FB.

Problem with twitter like sites is they create / cater celebrities. They are terrible at the average person getting the most important comments / information to the top. They are not great for average people interdiscussions either. Most people never actually read the comments to a post, they just post a comment and move on.

Reddit style sites are by far the best for humanity in every way, but Torba doesn't seem interested in even giving the idea a single thought, even though he's running around seeming to clone everything else.

Makes me think he's sus about his actual over all intentions. A gab run reddit like clone would rule the reddit type world.

Patriots.win spams stickies until they get 1000-3000 votes then stickys another so the whole front page is nothing but previous sticky spam. They also seem to now shadow ban prolifically there now. I got a comment shadow banned for simply suggesting the name Truth social is a copy of the 'Pravda' news outlet from the Soviet Union.

If someone made an anti censor bot / app for patriots so that people could see just how much and of what was being censored there, and another bot to show how much of the front page is previous stickies, they would kill patriots.win overnight. And I think it deserves it. Let truth prevail from here out. Let all die who are censoring etc.

From what I can tell it has it's fake upvotes as well. No Ones are lucky to get noticed unless you browse the Pro Feed [New] or scroll the comments. I've never seen a spontaneous celeb or founder post there but they get hundreds of votes with posts an hour old.

I personally don't give a shit about celeb "commenters" either. Why would I or anyone else follow someone just because they comment all the same things we're all currently thinking on all the same stuff we already knew?

Gab is a platform, not a content generator. If you want it to have good content, post good content.

The reason other “platforms” have more broadly “appealing” content is because they spend millions of dollars to buy content from talented creators, and those intent on manipulating the narratives spend just as much.
