I know hospital nurses who say Philippino care workers are not angry and violent like blacks but many are lazy and will let patients lie in filth for hours or refuse to answer call requests. There is more danger of neglect than abuse. So you are unlikely to see anything on a camera. Question your patient whether he gets attention when needed. Watch whether the workers sit around gossiping in Tagolog. Is there a general sense of being helpful or just doing the minimum? The head nurse will set the standard for whether they goof off or keep busy.
Thanks for the input. Been there pretty much everyday since first week there. 3 weeks and counting. First two weeks, 6 different caregivers. Have met 4 of them, met other family members visiting, and noticed a difference in caregivers and other family members’ choice of preferred caregivers. Such a new world to be exploring, which should have never been subject to, sadly.
