Many on the autism spectrum can relate to that. Emotions are dulled or maybe wholly repressed. Neither is a bad thing. Tis said 'Emotions make good servants but poor masters.' One can live without servants a lot easier than one can live with shitty masters!

English is terrible for the emotion "love." It only has one. The older languages, French, Italian, Greek, etc are much better. Here is the break down of types of love: Eros, or sexual passion. Philia, or deep friendship. Ludus, or playful love Pragma, or longstanding love Philautia, or love of the self

It's called sociopathy, and what you feel isn't love, it's affection for the provider of your sexual pleasure. When the pleasure subsides, so too will the relation.

Platonic, humanistic or normal. Animal works too. Since animals cannot fall in love, they just mate, and humans technically are animals so love is impossible.

Some say platonic isn't sexual but friends that fuck casually is a thing.

Humans evolved to be social creatures. Our brains are wired for love, as are many social animals. Dogs didn't take treats from strangers who mistreated their owners in studies done.

By loving a close kit group and sacrificing for them, your chances of survival raise heavily. Love is a great survival tool.

Casual sex doesn't work because sex releases endorphins and hormones of intense emotion. People who try and ignore it or go through that intense bonding with multiple people end up as damaged goods.

My love for any one of these could die and others be untouched. Technically. But a few I’d never let die.

My love for everyone died quite awhile ago and is buried so deep I couldn’t figure out how to unbury it. It’s a sad product of having lived in a terrible micro town world and doesn’t have anything to do with anyone of the actual whole world but it’s impossible to not project it on to them.

My faith in friends have died. And both of these died not on my conditions.

Family has seriously been tested and I presume on one side, I’ve been genuinely unfamilied. Genuinely. I am as if I was just another person they met on the street to them.

My guess is you just let all those blocks die except for girlfriend.
