Is cooking really a hobby though? I do it because we need to eat but I've also done it for work. If so I have another hobby
The glory and amazing science and art of cooking is a tradition as ancient as humanity. We spend half our life looking for things to eat. Before jewtube and McDonald's food was a much bigger deal. It is a wonderful hobby.
Same here, but I consider it a hobby when I'm following new recipes.
There is cooking up some meat and potatoes and then there is making a pizza from scratch. The first is utilitarian the second is fun.
Operating a smoker is also great fun, although the newer pellet types and the like are pretty gay and take the skill and effort out of it.
No self respecting man would use a pellet smoker. That's as stupid as an electric one. You may as well just buy liquid smoke and base your meat.
After working a a pizza joint it's so much easier to do it in a restaurant situation. I buy the pre made dough though
