I worked for the largest french language newspaper in North America and I have here an archive book of their publications from part of 1988. There's an article about a company promising tourist space flights by 1991, and you could buy your spot in advance... of course these flights never happened, hundreds of thousands of dollars at least were swindled, and the company went down. How many times do you think this racket was repeated since 1988? It's being done right now, isn't it? And still not a single space flight with ordinary people going up there taking video and photos, it's still only accesible to a bunch of Masons and their friends. Careful what you believe, lies CAN be huge, of reality-inverting magnitude even, as someone else pointed out.
