I live in the south so none of that winter blend shit you yankees go thru. Both my vehicles I swear are getting worse. I cant really keep totally accurate track cause I got bigger tires but know I could for just my use. But wtf does it matter I still got to buy the shit.

I have friends that work in the industry and have explained it in detail. It's a standards and measurements regulation requirement of some sort. Next time you see a guy working on a gas pump ask him about it. Or Google it I'm sure the info exists out there
