Maybe you need new spark plugs or your fuel delivery system could be running a bit rich. Dirty oil used to effect the mileage in my 90s era carbureted Chevy 350. Brakes can drag if your calipers are rusty on the outside of the piston and don’t fully release.
Unless the octane at the pump has changed it shouldn’t matter. BTU content can be changed during distillation but I’m not sure if they can maintain the same octane.
