So many links here shared with UTM's which the majority are obviously being used by marketing folks to push their propaganda.

Is there a reason whey poal doesn't ban UTM's in the shared links? I imagine it would ruffle the feathers of a lot of the marketers here who get paid off these stats.

yes, i get that about archival - i'm talking about sharing direct links here on the site.

it's how the marketing companies track their performance for their handling agencies. simply doing this one trick IMO would put a massive chink in the armor of these marketers. why would they want to push propaganda if they aren't getting paid?

Fair enough. I'm adding some code to trim utm_ only in url.

If they refuse to load articles because the link is missing these tracking parameters, then they don't deserve traffic.
