I do it. I hate that I do it. I hate how it makes other people's days worse because I leaked some nastiness from my own head.

Bury it deep down inside and take it out on my kids when I get home

Get control over your emotions. Inconsistency like that is all it takes for a darkness to grow inside of you. Change the way you speak. Instead of "oh ..great ...now I HAVE to do this" say "OH GREAT! Now I GET to do this!" Up until this point, every frustrating moment you have had has been an opportunity to grow and become more self controlled. Up until this point you have failed. What are you going to do from this point on? Best of luck stranger.

The problem isn't lack of control, it's whatever is resulting in the stress. The anger is just a symptom.

Anger is just fear with nowhere to go, and only makes things worse when it isn't used properly. It's okay to have anger. We were given emotions to feel them, but to waste something so precious and powerful like anger is a display of a lack of doing your shadow work, and becoming self conscious. Learn to control it, use it properly.

I understand now, channeling emotion rather than succumbing to it. Agreed. Coomers for example waste it on pleasure rather than furthering their race.

The first stage of solving a problem is admitting there is a problem.

STAGE 2: << You are here.

Walk away...or Run if necessary. Go to your "Cave" and don't come out until you have let yourself calm down. If you're working on a project that goes sideways and nothing is working right, leave and come back later. This has always worked for me. Probably kept me out of prison more than once.

Read about stoicism. It might help you to realize that there are something's and most of these are the stuff you get angry about are never in your control.

You need to reassess your coping skills and find an activity or way to release your stress.

Simple as that.

Do not turn to drugs or alcohol. Workout should work very well for someone who wants to scream, though. Find the right workout that helps you release that energy.

Makes other people's days bad? It's refreshing when someone actually expresses things rather than goes along with keeping everything inside.
