Looking for a WhatsApp alternative that I can use with my family who are borderline retarded. My whole family except for me uses an iPhone. I'm going into Canada this summer and will not have access to my traditional telephone so when I still want to keep in contact with my family and an occasional friend so I'd like to be able to do for free audio calls texting and video. Is this even possible for free?

I used it when I dated European girls who lived in Europe. I was using Facebook Messenger a lot back then but they didn't use it so although WhatsApp is more or less the same thing.

If you want something that simply offers a messenger service with an endpoint, Tox is what you want. You may need to set it up for them.

This is why I have a phone that's from 2017 bought used in 2019 pay $200 for it. Then I got visible as an unlimited hotspot and paid $200 for that phone as well. $1,000 for a phone it's just ridiculous it's more than a freaking computer.
