I have read 'taking vitamins is lol' and 'taking vitamins is a must'. What is your experience?
I take a multivitamin every once in a while along with vitamin d and e. Vitamin C I take religiously. Linus Pauling won two nobel prizes and believed heart attacks were a type of low grade scurvy for years that weakened arterial walls in your heart and plaque built up to overcome this. Vitamin C, he believed, repaired the arterial walls correctly rather than with plaque. After seeing some studies suggest the lining of arterial walls change with vitamin C usage, I started to think he was right. It also has other properties for cancer and viruses that help.
For me, it's about vit C mostly. The other vitamins don't hurt though.
My experience is taking vitamins is a must if your diet is deficient.
So vitamins is being chosen over rectification of the diet, and that is lol
