Absolutely. At least some extent. Sidney Crosby was playing some of the best hockey of his life, good enough to get the Penguins to another Stanley Cup, but that would be too boring. So that thug from the Rangers took him out and there’s absolutely no outcry whatsoever because it’s best for the game for the penguins to be eliminated quickly. The Canadian teams want this, the NHL is based in New York where the Rangers play, and they are the ones who took him out. I don’t think it’s rigged, necessarily, but they look the other way
