Thought experiment: Could you fit into an advanced society of aliens who are physically affected by human feelings?

Imagine there is a vastly superior alien society. They have better everything and it's like paradise to live there. They live on a planet that is hospitable and healing to humans.

Humans can use and understand their technology only on the alien planet. They lose and forget everything once they leave. The aliens are of no real benefit or detriment to any humans not living there. There is a portal on Earth that connects the two planets. It is easy to go back and forth between them.

The aliens are physically affected by human thoughts and emotions. The aliens do not have as extreme emotions as humans. They are relatively neutral in their expressions of positivity or negativity. When a human has a feeling of anger or fear, the alien will feel physical pain. When a human feels joy, the aliens will be so overcome that they become paralyzed.

Half of the alien population wants humans to live there. They say they can deal with the negative effects of the humans and they know how much their society benefits the humans. The other half do not want humans there for obvious reasons. The two groups are intermixed and there is no way for a human to avoid aliens who don't want them there.

Half of the alien population have offered you an ivitation to live on their planet. Do you go?

Unpopular opinion on Poal, but since I failed to find a partner in an appropriate amount of time I found a great donor instead. Working on kids myself now.

If I got there and can understand their technology, I create some kind of shielding device that renders my emotions harmless to the aliens. Then I work on something that allows me to retain the knowledge I have there, even if it is making videos or whatever. Bring the technology for free energy, food and healing to all. Bring Earth up to a type 1 civilization.
