My employer is adamant I work until 10PM today to finish up a task, which would conflict completely with my date. im more surprised they think its ok to allow this practice, but hey. Anyways, I still have a date with that one chick, she agreed to go out on one, she's just been busy. So the question, to bail on the date or keep working?

For those curious, the problem i ahve to fix is a parser system that needs to detect hundreds of different edge cases and issues with a bunch of files, and it doesnt look like today will be the day its fixed if at all

Yes, but the way he wrote about it leads me to infer he has been generally available while she has not. Hence the issue of him feeling pressure to neglect work to date on this specific day/time.

I could be wrong but that's how I took it.
