Like most people I suppose , I'm not happy with my life , but a 70 degree sunny day , shit man what's not to love.

So I still enjoy some things in life , mostly natural beauty , outdoors stuff. So , am I really not happy ?

Productive work means a resulting tangible output that you can behold with pride.

Paper pushing or virtual products are make work from hell

I am an "essential " worker. If the job I and others do isn't done millions of people starve. My job actually matters , well the job I do matters , which is really nice , even on your crappy days at least you know it served a good purpose.

There is a large trend right now where many (specifically white) men feel unable to enact lasting positive change in their surroundings. This leads to a sense of learned helplessness and mild depression.

This is the culmination of many factors such as;

  • Being blamed for all of societies problems.
  • Being passed over for career advancement by racist company policy.
  • Acknowledging the past and present failure of government.
  • Being a responsible person.
  • Being constantly bombarded with negative sentiment from the gynocentric society at large.

Etc.

Basically no matter what you do, no matter how much blood sweat or tears you spend, it will never be enough.
