Makes no sense to me, their goals to help the Jews create Israel out of Palestine were identical, so why go to war in the first place? Heck Hitler went so far as to effectively pay the Jews to leave, and created a very convenient transfer mechanism to do so. Furthermore, if Jews were gifted an entire country by white people, why do they hate us so much?

We entered the war because of Japan. We allied with Russia because Russia was attacked by Germany and the US was already sort of secretly allied with France/England and was selling them weapons, then officially backed them with lend-lease.

1938: Munich agreement gives the Sudatenland to Germany. Churchill declares "peace for our time".

1939 August: Hitler makes a non-aggression pact with Russia, hinting he make take action against Poland.

1939 September. Germany invades Poland. England and France declared war on Germany in response.

1941 March: US lend lease program loans arms to western allies (previously sold to them as cash and carry)

1941 June: Hitler invades Russia with 3 million men.

1941 December: USA is attacked by Japan and enters the war.

...: USA allies with Russia.

We twisted Japans arm with the embargo because if I recall correctly they were warring with China and us cutting off the oil forced the nips hand.

Yeah. The US was pulling a lot of crap around the world like now. Back then the sentiment was strongly anti-war coming out of WWI where America had lost men and written off bad debt for weapons that were never fully paid off. But Roosevelt (the guy who confiscated gold by EO) was doing everything possible to wage war against Germany without actually doing it. The attack from Japan was a godsend for him.
