This has been bothering me. I haven't been sick in as long as I can remember until a few days ago. I'm talking not one cold or flu in at least 20 years. A few days back I got a cold or whatever it was. My throat hurt and I had congestion and cough for a couple days. Yesterday when I woke up I was still sick but all of the sudden in the afternoon it just went away. No wind down, just sick then not sick. In one moment i just felt normal again and my nose cleared up and my throat stopped hurting. If that normal?

This is pretty common with post-nasal drip (sore throat). When you are lying down the mucus pools in the back of your throat and makes it sore. When you go about your day you feel better. You may wake up with a mild case tomorrow, but again being upright will fix it.

Seasonal allergy perhaps.

Yep, that sounds like an allergy to me. Did you shower, wash your face, or change clothes before it suddenly "went away"?

Same shit happened to me a couple weeks back. I just chalked it up to hay fever or allergies but it felt different
