I have de-canned the Palladium lattice from an old catalytic converter. It is now sitting comfortably on my shelf in a zip-lock back.
In this video I can see the process is quite involved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSoL9-7pPsA
I don't own any chemistry equipment either. But if I were to buy everything I need to do this at home I'd want to make sure I can sell the Palladium for more than I spend on equipment and chemicals.
Can this be done? If it's not economical to do myself might I be able to find someone on Craigslist who has the equipment and knowledge? What about a high school science class? In either situation I would offer to split the finished product 50/50.
