My cousin got into a beef with me when his ex girlfriend sent me to pick up her personal stuff. Clearly it was her stuff. Just woman things. It wasn't even stored where he lived but in a building where his stepdad gave her permission. But nooo, he couldn't let her have those items and he tried and failed to throw me on the ground then tried to choke me and failed. Next day a police detective is asking me if I hit my cousin. "oh, yes sir I did hit him, and hard!" Cop, "How many times did you hit him?" Me: "I didn't really count. I just kept hitting him in the face till he stopped choking me." Cop: "Oh, well, thanks for your time. " "Click, ZZZZZZZZZZ (dial tone)
Man…that could have turned out bad.
He's bigger than me, taller and fat. On the other hand he's stupid, slow and has never worked more than a couple days in his life. So, no problem physically. Legally you must understand the mentality of cops and prosecutors. The guy who babbles on and on about his justifications or lies in any way or sounds nervous has a legal problem. I sounded jovial and maybe even happy. Matter of fact, succinct and totally right to the main point. Investigator caught on instantly that prosecution would fail. He'd also assaulted his girlfriend, had a record of attempted murder when he shot a kid five times and other legal problems. Look up Stephen Knoefler murder. What was in the news is nothing compared to the whole story.
