I loved it when my job was less hands on. When my company started third we had no work, I did side projects, studied, and watched movies.

Then we had plenty of somewhat challenging work with plenty of resources and a wild west mandate to do what needed to be done. It was a crazy time. I discovered about a dozen proprietary and need-to-know documents posted publicly just by searching for solutions.

Now I literally babysit Pajeets. Either it's asking them to enter their password and watching them screw up, or babysitting them on forms they should be doing themselves, or new products with jealously guarded tech specs so we have to send it to another team.

Oh. I thought it was the shift you hate. Yeah, diversity hires are a bitch. They make you look like a fucking genius though.
